Wynnum Opens Day 1:
Capricornia vs Metro West

On the first day of the Opens, Capricornia defeated Metro West 10-4.
They scored an exciting two-point (18-16) victory over Sunshine Coast
the next day, only to go down 20-10 to defending champions Peninsula
in a major semi-final on day three. The Capras finished third after they
defeated Metro North 26-16 in a hard-fought encounter on the last day.
On days two and three Metro West lost to Metro North 16-14 and South
Coast 26-0, then defeated Darling Downs 16-16 (first try) to finish 7th.
