We are Americans tried and true: Tuesday, September 11, 2001: We had one of the greatest tragedies under the sun.
We are Americans tried and true: Our loved ones are dead, what can we do?
We are Americans tried and true: They crashed into our buildings and the carnage is there.
Their loved ones are asking, "Where, oh where"?
We are Americans tried and true: Our tears are many and our hearts are torn, from the mind of a madman's scorn.
We are Americans tried and true: Republicans and Democrats, and other parties too; we come together, we will see this through.
We are Americans tried and true: Liberals and Conservatives, arm in arm; they know it's time to stop the harm.
We are Americans tried and true: Christians and the other religions too; come and help, there's work to do.
We are Americans tried and true: Poor or rich, it doesn't matter. We work together, and not to make our checkbooks fatter.
We are Americans tried and true: We have many races, in our land. But in times of trouble, we lend a hand.
We are Americans tried and true: Other nations share our sorrow. They want to make sure we and them, have a better tomorrow.
We are Americans tried and true: We rally behind our President. Our respect for him, is one hundred percent.
We are Americans tried and true: We fuss and fight and disagree, but in troubled times, we get on our knee.
We are Americans tried and true: A man once said "United we stand, divided we fall". I believe, we'll stand tall.
We are Americans tried and true: Some people say, "two wrongs, don't make a right". These people are wimps, so stay out of my sight.
We are Americans tried and true: Tho' our heart is torn in two; we are strong, we'll make it through.
We are Americans tried and true: To the families and loved ones, who suffer with sorrow. We the people, pray for a better tomorrow.
We are Americans tried and true: So this tragedy won't be all in vain; let's all work together and cause less pain.
We are Americans tried and true: The evil people who thought their religion was right; they simply couldn't see the light.
We are Americans tried and true: We need to get rid of the scum who gave us a test; and keep on working to get rid of the rest.
We are Americans tried and true: Our heart is soft, but our spirit is strong; we will make it, whatever comes along.
We are Americans tried and true: Time will heal our wounds and we will no longer cry. But didn't the Bible say, "An eye for an eye"?
