One of my favorite classes in high school was English, and I've always enjoyed writing. As a sophomore my English teacher suggested I take a creative writing class and said I had a true nack for it. So, the following year I did and I loved it. My teacher and friends were all very encouraging towards my poetry and were always trying to get me to enter poetry contest.
As I got older my love for writing grew but only as a hobby to help pass the time away. Writing poetry helps me share in expressing the emotional crossroads of everyday life and of those around me. Again I had a lot of compliments on my work and was encouraged to enter a contest so, finally I did.
In 1994 I won 3rd place in a contest for my poem
"Moonlight Lovers".
I've been quite successful in having 8 of my poems published and I've also been accepted into The National Library Of Poetry's Hall of Fame.
