Cry Quietly Please
Never feeling good enough
She sits alone feeling inferior
Unable to blend in with the multitude
 Or so it seems

She cries because of her loneliness
No one sees her for who she is
She wears a mask of happiness
To replace the sadness in her life

Tears shed
 Wiped away
To force a smile
From a tear stained face

Nobody accepts her who she is
Nobody accepts her for who she isn't
She can't fit in
Because no one will give her a chance

People called friendly
 Simply walk away
 When she tries to follow
They spit in her face

She sees the world for what it is
What it is to her
 A place of hell, depression
And never ending strife

Why won't anyone accept her
Can't they make her feel loved
 Happiness isn't free
But what is the price you pay

Is it her appearance that repulses
Her intelligence that intimidates
Could it be the clique that doesn't embrace
Or just not accepting what they don't find familiar

All the while everyone is saying
"Cry quietly please,
Nobody here cares about your pain"

"Cry quietly please
                 You're annoying everyone else"

She goes to find the Tylenol
 Opens it and takes 30
All the while she cries and hears
      "Cry quietly please"

Nobody wanted to listen to her quiet cries
Nobody wanted to share her pain
If she only had one friend
Her life wouldn't have ended

Now everyone has a little guilt
For the little things they didn't do
And when they said, then screamed
"Cry Quietly Please"
