"Today & Tomorrow"
Today is a busy day, historically speaking. Presently too. First of all, it's Passover. The artist Joan Miro was born on this day in 1893. Good Friday is Tomorrow. And Easter is celebrated on Sunday (the 30th if you're Orthodox).
And now, I would like to apologize in advance, as I approach the midnight hour and this issue is still not finished. So I upload a bit here, a bit there, and slowly finish half of what I want to accomplish. I mean, how could I just pass over Passover? Well, I can't... even though I'm not Jewish! There, I said it. Truth in journalism. But, now that I have admitted to something that most people will pass over (perhaps I will be forgiven for that), what next?
There is always tomorrow. And tomorrow I will be hard at work, trying to wipe the egg off my face and putting the finishing touches on this issue that has somehow become an issue for me. Would it help to explain that I have secured a new job that keeps me busy and on my feet at least ten hours per day? Or that I have recently taken up oil painting and I'm busy trying to clean off paint from my fingers? Too many frying pans in the fire for this writer. No excuses, just tomorrow.
But before we address tomorrow, let me note that today, Thursday, is the birthday of Joan Miró. A Spanish Surrealist, not unlike Picasso, yet still his own man. If I had to describe his work I would place it somewhere between Picasso and Dali. His paintings look childish upon first inspection, but after some time, interesting details come to light. There is a lot going on in his art, yet one gets the sense of something larger at work here. Of course, I'm no expert, but I'm still a bit confused... that's surrealism for you.
Tomorrow is here... and it is good. Good Friday in fact. And what a day! This has to be the biggest collection of URL links that I have ever assembled in one issue. <whew> I hope that you can glean some nuggets from the links this time. There is something for everyone, fun and serious and everything in between. Once again I had to stop before I finished skimming the surface. If you want more, just dig for the links on the other sites... believe me, you will be busy all weekend. Have a wonderful holiday!

Trade in your Business
If you take what you have
to get what you get,
they will call it a trade,
and you best not forget...
That this business of dealing
and trying to get more,
will return once again,
when they even the score.Copyright © 2000 E.D.Griswold (aka Zedwaldo), all rights reserved.

THIRST
An Arab diplomat visiting the US for the first time was being wined and dined by the State Department. The Grand Emir was unused to the salt in American foods (french fries, cheeses, salami, anchovies, etc) and was constantly sending his man-servant Abdul to fetch him a glass of water. Time and again, Abdul would scamper off and return with a glass of water, but then came the time when he returned empty-handed. "Abdul, you son of an ugly camel, where is my water??" demanded the Grand Emir. "A thousand pardons, O Illustrious One," stammered the wretched Abdul, "white man sit on well."
