Chapter one 11.7.79

God's Children -

Sentimental breeze tiptoes in by reflections of the past.

New days light bring birth of the young and fruitful.

Shallow timbers rise with the tide and fall to begin again.

Crisp afternoon highlights race past my thoughts as a

boy down by the waters edge.

The delightful friend chases my toes with cold subtle intentions.

Sundays never seemed so long as Monday never came.

Early in rise with energy bursting from young eyes.

Ripples around through and back again....

silence was deafened by natures morning lullaby.

Some boats softly danced and others sat with age.

Bump, creak, and stretching knots mumbled admist the morning dew.

Haze beyond the port stumbled in from unknown waters.

Age and beauty meet in perfect arrangements.

Tattered and broken the monumental structures still stood

to hold their days weight and work with the village men.

Children as we were called...played and dreamed along

these numbered heroes in line for our defense.

Ready at anytime they would cough, sputter, and roar.

Out to the open sea without fear or pretense.

They pushed along in rain, wind, and the most horrible elements.

Which some were never to return.

Captured was a glimpse and like a mother she cradled the wonder.

The story's imagined took flight wild with timid eyes.

Transitions forward images flash, melt, and ascend.

Fields shatter with tall grass broken across one heart's good intentions.

Blossom child under reins of society's expectational relapse.

Remaining undertones echo memories overhead...

past in light sensual reoccurring kisses like a lost love

her soft aroma surfaces and transcends like summer breeze.

Under the water, the music remains... untouched , blessed,

a lavish moment waiting to expose it's beauty to the next open arms.
