THE GARDEN

"Tell me a secret", the garden whispered in my ear on the cool summers day. I strolled through the beautiful garden with its darkest green leaves and brightest red roses with only a sprinkling of thorns. A slight dew scarcely covered the petals of rainbow colored tulips and mums. The gardens flowers stretched towards the sky and covered the ground below my feet. Even the spider plants curled their way up large stems to catch a glimmer of sunlight. Lady bugs crawled up and down the leaves and the petals of the peonies. Ivy intertwined the taller plants leaving only their soft, fuzzy petals sticking out. The smell of lilac and honeysuckle flourished around my head and gorged my nose with their tingling sensation. My eyes were filled with tears from the strength of the scent, as I looked up to see the suns glaring brightness. The light fell on my face and I felt its soft touch on my cheeks. The wind blew a small gust of air towards me, that tossled my hair and in a small burst went through me.
