The city of Phillipsburg is the capital of Dutch Sint Maarten, and is the major cruise ship port. Shopping is especially good here, as many things from liquor to gold jewelry to locally-crafted gifts are plentiful, and prices are excellent. The city surrounds a large lagoon in the foreground.
