The dual nation island of St. Maarten/St. Martin is a small (37 square mile) Caribbean paradise offering upscale shopping, beautiful white sand beaches, and an opportunity to sample French culture and food. It is not surprising that St. Martin is a favorite of cruise ships and beach goers alike. Where else can you visit two countries end to end in less than half a day of driving? But don't get me wrong: You will want to spend a minimum of a week checking out all this island has to offer!
