The highest point on the island is Peak Paradis, which is reached by jeep (or small rental car!) up a very washed out dirt road. Even if you have to hike to the top, it is worth the 360-degree view, taking in both the French and Dutch halves of the island. (Remember, the entire island is only 37 square miles, so you are never more than about 4 miles from shore!)
