This may not be easy to see, but this is a giant sea snail, about 10-12 inches across, moving along the ocean floor. These snails often are seen in shell collections, but are much rarer to be seen while snorkeling. I don't even have any idea how heavy they are, but I would guess about 10 pounds. We didn't disturb the snail's leisurely cruise along the bottom.
