Here is a better view of an individual squid, moving away from me, although it appears to be moving toward me. The large "eye" is in fact nature's way of camouflaging this animal. You can almost see the side fins "fluttering", which provide the squid's primary form of propulsion. They move very gracefully and slowly ahead of me in this image. (Sorry for the poor quality of this and the other image of the squids, but the light was very poor and I couldn't get a good shot without disturbing the animals swimming just ahead of me.)
