Jeff & Michele's European Vacation Photos: The French Riviera |

Roger (who is a cousin to Adam's dad, Joel) and his wife, Barbara, were gracious enough to invite the entire wedding party to visit them at Port La Galere. It is a private community located on 60 acres approximately 10 km. from Cannes. We boarded a bus and enjoyed a scenic ride along the coast. The bus driver was fearless at navigating the large vehicle on the narrow streets but lost some of his glory when he became lost and had to stop to ask for directions. Roger and Barbara greeted us at the entrance to the club and hosted a reception by the pool looking out over the Mediterranean. The small island located off the coast was supposedly the home to the Louis XIV's brother who was imprisoned with an iron mask. A delicious luncheon was served and we enjoyed an afternoon in the sun. Some of the guests also enjoyed the clothing-optional sunworshipers at the pool. |

At the top of the cake, you can see the pyramid-shaped French wedding pastry, Croque-en-Bouche (which translates as pastry that crumbles in your mouth). The concoction of cream puffs decorated with candied almonds was delicious! |
