Jeff & Michele's European Vacation Photos: San Remo, Italy |
|||||||||
San Remo is part of the Liguria region of Italy. It is located just kilometers from where we stayed in Bordighera. We walked into Bordighera and purchased our train tickets. We had some momentary confusion trying to determine from which side of the track our train would be loading. Jeff asked a young couple a few questions. They obviously understood English better than they were able to speak. We eventually figured out we were in the right place and that our train would be arriving at 11:45. About this time Jeff's parents, Shellie, Tedd, and Nina arrived. We all traveled together to San Remo. The train station in San Remo is located very close to the casino. We explored the old town for several hours, stopping to eat panini and pizza at a bar before touring the port area. We returned for some shopping before catching the train back to Bordighera. |

For those of you who have seen The Talented Mr. Ripley, San Remo is the Italian town where Tom Ripley and Dickie Greenleaf traveled to for the jazz festival and their last motorboat ride together. |
