We sailed on Holland America's ms Rotterdam. The Rotterdam is their newest vessel. Just like TV's "Love Boat" there is a Lido Deck on top with a bar and several pools. A theater, several bars with dance floors, various lounges, and the CASINO offer plenty of entertainment options. In addition to the main dining room, the ship offers an intimate restaurant called The Odyssey.

Monte Carlo was the only port that we did not dock. To come ashore, passengers boarded small "ferry boats" called tenders. A floating dock was dropped to move from the ship onto the tender. The tenders do double duty as life rafts in case of emergency so there are winch systems to easily lower and raise the small boats.
