Red Satin Dress

Red satin dress,

Danced across the room.

Red satin dress,

Floating over those high heel shoes.

Those big blue eyes,

brighter than the summer moon.

Swaying to the music,

I fell in love as she crossed the room.

She caught me looking, frozen tight,

I could not seem to move.

"Hey you in there, are you at home?

Are you going to be alright?"

I got dizzy from her smile,

She took it all in stride.

She whispered low "Get me a drink,

so we can dance outside."

Barely breathing, spoke her name.

"I saw you stare at me."

I nearly dropped, she touched my face,

"Tell me what is it you see?"

"I felt you staring, gotta know,

what is on your mind?"

"It takes some time to get inside,

but no, I’m not too shy."

"It feels so nice to be admired,

by someone like you."

"You look just like a man in love,

could this all be true?"

I saw your dancing satin dress,

and smiling eyes so blue,

strutting out, across the floor,

an angel in high heel shoes.

Red satin dress,

Dancing around my heart.

Long and silky legs,

still floating over high heel shoes.
