Byron Creek is a room sized layout 16 feet long and 12 feet wide. As you can see from the plan above, it is an "around the walls" style layout. The main line goes around the walls and the large central peninsular features the Murrumbong Branch. Many years of operating the layout, chopping, changing and adding extra sections has seen the layout grow from a small bedroom layout into its present large form.

As it stands now, the layout provides a large variety of operational scenarios. Crossing of trains, main and branch line traffic interchanges, large goods and passenger trains, small branch line trains and railcars are featured. This layout is able to provide an appropriate setting for nearly every type of locomotive and train the NSWGR ran in the 1960's and 70's.
