Buddy-Mentorship Programmes

So, You're Interested in
The Buddy-Mentorship Programme

Writing is mostly a solitary activity. And sometimes,it gets really difficult to grow and move along with being too alone. Writing Conferences, Groups, and Workshops are good ways to break the isolation and learn the art and craft of writing at the same time. But some people get either distracted or overwhelmed with the extremes of solitude and fellowship. The Buddy-Mentorship Programme is an in-between answer.
It is a programme with a three-fold effect, promoting learning and sharing concepts in the writing community.

How It Works and Other Matters

Somewhere along the journey of learning and teaching, we realise that the two concepts go hand-in-hand. We learn best, when we share and we share best when we continue to learn. In this programme's three-fold effect, we would have Student-Buddy-Mentor partnerships.

How do we know which category we belong? Well, if you want to participate in the programme, you will first fill-up a short questionnaire which will place you in any or all of the categories. And depending on your interest, you will have any or all kinds of partnerships.

To explain a bit further, once you fill up the questionnaire, we would know your basic background and interest in writing. We would keep this in our file, along with other interested participants. These files will be confidential. Then let's say you wish to have only a buddy-writer. We'd check our files to see which participant have very similar writing background and interest as yours and we'll match you up and introduce you to the programme.

Free Choices will be as follows:
1) I want to Have: a buddy, a student, a mentor.
2) I want to Be: a buddy, a student, a mentor

You can choose any or all of the above. We recommend the Full Choice of being and having a buddy, student, and mentor to get the most out of the programme.

From your choice, we will know which people and programme to match you with. Then we will provide you with the FREE materials and guidelines for that
particular programme.

Duration of the Programme

For every match we make, we would have a four-week initial programme. From there, we would assess each one's progress, inclinations, and time schedules. Once everything is considered, you may decide whether you wish to continue with a programme via The Write Life or on your own. What we basically hope for is that
you'd develop lifelong friendships - in writing and in life - with the people you meet in this programme.

When Can Participants Begin?

Once a match is made (be it between Buddy-Buddy, Mentor-Student or Mentor-Buddy-Student), we would start the programme immediately. No rush, no pressure. But lots of dedication and commitment. If writing is important to you, this thought will most likely excite
you.

We look forward to have you on board our Buddy-Mentorship programme soon! And we will all write to our heart's content.
