These are only some of the wonderful composers of all time. There are just too many to list. A dancer needs to really listen to their music and make it every part of them. Without music, dancing would be nothing. When the dancer and the musician put their talents together, it is considered a work of art. I suppose that is why we are called ARTISTS.
Some of these muscians, particularly Tchaikovsy had no idea just what an impact their compositions would make on the ballet world and the general public for that matter. Tchaikovsky is my particular favorite. Alot of his works can be heard in many of today's ballet's...."Romeo and Juliet", "The Nutcracker", "Sleeping Beauty" to name a few. Little did he know that these pieces would live on until the end of time.
