Shadowrun: Seattle

As far as sordid histories go, my history here is probably most spotty. I'm capable of doing a good deal of MUSH/MUX management and coding, which makes me something of a valuable asset. By the same token, I freely admit that most of the code and building done on the game to date has been total shit. The hardcode hacks we've put in place are an incomplete and un-scalable solution. The database is cluttered with useless shit that should have never been implemented as objects. The code and the staffing structure is set up to create a wall between players and admins. In short, the place is well-on fucked, hard and violent. I admit this.

On the other hand, it's a load of fun. The roleplay is fantastic, something to really experience. The setting is full of intriguing and unusual places to go, and neat people to hang out with. About once every three months, a fresh crop of RPAs will get hired in, and then there's a whole slew of plots to participate in, too. I love it. It's a blast, and some fantastic stories have come out of the game.

I've got material for two of my earlier PCs online. Roger, in his first online incarnation, was a ganger/sammy. He got shut down inside a month just by virtue of being ork. That's when Brid got fired up. Brid was by far my most successful character prior to my current one, and she was fun to play. Since her retirement, I've been through Phinar, Siefre, an NPC named Ronald, and am now into Roger in his third online incarnation. I should note, by the by, that the only thing each of these Roger incarnations had in common was their name. It's been a different background and different character sheet each time, but the core essence has finally, in version 3.0, reached its fullest expression.

I've also been staff in every department on the game at Seattle, including a spell as the assistant director of build/code once upon a time. These days, I'm just a build/code admin. I like it better that way.
