SOME RECOLLECTIONS OF

Betty Jane

My sister, Betty Jane, was definitely "Wawy's" daughter, and like "Wawy" Betty has no detractors. In the eulogy at her funeral it was said that Betty Jane was a care giver which was true. She was also a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In a sense her family was her life. Because of our 9-year age difference my relationship with Betty was almost one of a mother and son. She was someone to whom I could turn for guidance or, love and sympathy when my feelings were hurt or my heart broken. But we had fun together as well. We once undertook to reupholster a '39 Ford Coupe together. She did all of the sewing on a portable sewing machine. It turned out pretty well.

Betty had one son with Joe Minore. He married, had two children, a boy and a girl. They are both grown and married, and the girl has two children. Thus, Betty has two Great Grandchildren. We are all fortunate that her loving spirit lives on in her Son, her Grandchildren, and her Great Grandchildren, Ryker and Kennedy.
