Animated fluorite/water frost
The plan: move an intersecting terrain through a positive disc or square.
-updated June 13, (Tue) 2000- I've zipped the .br4, or you can download
the actual .br4 in case you dont have winzip.
1. - Add terrain, set to 'intersect' in Attributes
for realistic frost, go to Terrain Editor.
makes amazing frost!
.
2. - create 2d square ,
scale to match terrain borders,
set to 'positive' in Attributes
3. - Material for 2D square
"Etched Rock"
Make these settings - you may want whiter ice.
4. - Place terrain so it kinda (not much) pokes through the square. Group the square and terrain
5. - Drag time scrubber out a few seconds
6. - Raise terrain mostly through the square. Make it a keyframe if
auto-key is not selected.
That's it!
My terrain morphs from a Lava fractal to eroded. That's in the .br4. Also there are material changes.
- sorry that I cannot make B3D or Bryce2
My thanks go to the people who make Bryce possible and also to Calyxa
for the amazing trees concept.
As of August of 2000, it's about 9 months after I opened the Bryce4 package,
and I JUST went through the cdroms. Anyway, Calyxa's amazing trees sparked this frost idea.
