| PAST ISSUE # 11 Questions Kids Ask About God Question: Who wrote the Bible? Answer: The words in the Bible came from God. That's why it is called "God's Word." God used people to write down the ideas, thoughts, teachings, and words that He wanted to put in the Bible. The writers were very special people, chosen by God for this very important task. And God used many people, writing over many, many years. These people wrote in their own style and in their own language, but they wrote God's Word. God guided their thoughts as they wrote. And God made sure that what they wrote was exactly what He wanted. He kept them from making mistakes. Today, we can read the Bible, God's Word, which He wrote through those special people so many years ago. Key Bible verses: 2 Peter 1:20-21, 1 Peter 1:23-25 My Views: If I was asked which book had had the most impact in my life. It would not be Chemistry 'O' Level 10 yr series or LKY's Memoir; rather it would be the Bible. Since God's Word is good and eternal, I can rest assure that the knowledge I am gaining is everlasting and good for my moral well-being. It contains a wealth of information on how we can lead a righteous and godly life. Studying the Bible is not like studying for a final exam; the learning process is continuous because I am being tested all the time. I used to have so many questions and doubts about what is written in the Bible, but now, God's Word seems to fall into place; everything seems to fit like a puzzle. How, you may ask? Well, it's simple, ask God to help you understand His Word. Ask knowledgeable Christians. Attend Bible classes or visit good Christian resource websites. I urge everyone to give the Bible a try. Ask yourself, why is the Bible the most widely printed book in the world or in the entire literary history? Why is the Bible so important to humanity and yourself? Who is the Messiah Christ Jesus the Bible speaks of? Why is the birth of a Jewish carpenter from the town of Nazareth so important that human history (the calendar) is set according to his birth year, i.e. Before Christ (BC)? What can you learn from the Bible? How can the Bible make a positive impact in your life? I urge all of you to ask yourself these questions in your lifetime. Next Source:
