PAST ISSUE # 20
Questions Kids Ask About God

Question: Is Jesus God?

Answer: Jesus is fully God. When He came to earth and was born of the Virgin Mary, Jesus also became a human being, a person like you. So, Jesus is both God and man. As God, Jesus has always existed - He was not created when He was born. Instead, He willingly chose to take on a human body.

Key Bible verses:
John 1:1-2, 1:148:58, 14:9; Colossians 1:15-18; Revelation 1:17

My views:
I often asked myself the question and had great difficulty in resolving this issue. However, I now realize that Jesus is truly God. How do I know this? Because the Bible says so (check out Issue # 16 on the Bible's validity). There are many biblical references which can be inferred that Jesus is God. Jesus also proclaimed Himself to be God (check out the key Bible verses). Furthermore, I do not think Jesus would lie. He paid the greatest penalty for proclaiming to be God - He was crucified on the cross. But, you may think: if Jesus is God, why wouldn't He rescue Himself from the cross? Well, there is divine purpose to His death which is explained in Issue # 14 & 15.
This Christmas, reflect on the significance of Jesus' birth. Ask yourself this question: why is His birth so special and how does it affect my life? And to find out more about Jesus Christ,

Last words...
"For God did not send his Son (Jesus) into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." (John 3:17)
