Question: How long is eternity?

Answer: We can't even imagine how long eternity is. Eternity goes on forever. Sometimes we have good times that we wish would never end - such as a party or a vacation or a visit by friend from out of town. But they do come to an end. Eternity, however, never ends. God is eternal, and He has given us eternal life. If we know Jesus, we will live forever with Him, someday in heaven, after our life on earth comes to an end.

Key Bible verses:
Psalm 90:4Ecclesiastes 3:11; 2 Peter 3:8; 1 Timothy 1:17; Revelation 1:8

My views:
I cannot fathom how long is eternity. How can I when I everything around me is finite? I do not have an earthly baseline to comprehend eternity. The closest tangible example of eternity is probably diamonds. Although they are the hardest and most durable substance on earth, they have limitations and can be destroyed.
So, how long is eternity? First, imagine yourself waiting in line at Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) during peak hours. Next, multiply that waiting period by a hundred, then a thousand, a million, etc. The notion of perpetually waiting in a line without ever reaching the front counter is probably hellish to many people.  Are you able to mentally and spiritually endure it?
If you can't, that means you are probably unable to withstand eternal death - the sense of everlasting hopelessness and loneliness. Thankfully, God promises eternal life to those who believe in His Son, Jesus (
John 3:16). What is eternal life? Let find out by welcoming Jesus into our heart and life.

Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, I thank You for dying on the Cross for my sins. I thank You for Your gift of salvation. I confess to You my sins. I thank You for forgiving my sins. I thank You for giving me eternal life through Your grace and mercy. Lord Jesus, please come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. Amen.

Last words...
"Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal." (Isaiah 26:4)
