Question: When is Jesus coming back?

Answer: Before Jesus left the earth many years ago, He promised to return some day. And after Jesus went up into the clouds, angels said He would come back eventually. No one knows exactly when that will happen. It could be any day now. For Christians, this is a wonderful event to look forward to. Christ's return will be the beginning of the end for Satan and all evil in the world. Won't it be great to see Jesus in person? Although no one knows when Christ will return, He told us to be ready. This means living the way He would want us to, using our time wisely, and telling others about God's good news.

Key Bible verses:
Matthew 24:27-51; Colossians 3:4; 1 Thessalonians 5:2-8; 2 Peter 3:12-15; Revelation 22:20

My views:
It is nearly 2000 years since Jesus was crucified and rose to heaven but He has yet to return. How is this so when He told his apostles that He was coming very soon (Revelation 3:11)? Did Jesus miscalculate His return? Certainly not. For evil-doers and non-believers who are still alive, it is better that Jesus has not come yet. This is to enable them to hear the good news, repent and accept Jesus as their Savior and Lord. For example, a tribe in the remotest part of Amazon has not heard of Jesus. If Jesus is to come today, this tribe will not get an opportunity to hear about Jesus and accept Him as their Lord and Savior? But Jesus will come again when everyone on earth has heard the good news so that they cannot blame God of not knowing His Son and accepting the gift of salvation through Jesus (1 Timothy 2:3-4; 2 Peter 3:8-9; Revelation 2:21). This Easter, ask yourself whether you will be ready when Jesus comes again. If you wish to prepare for His second coming, click here.

Last words...
"(Jesus is speaking) Behold, I come like a thief! Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed." (Revelation 16:15)
