Questions Kids Ask About God

Question: Why did God make people?

Answer: People are special creations, not just different animals. God created people to be His friends and to take care of the world. Unlike animals, human can talk to each other and to God. People are the only part of God's marvelous creation that can be friends with God. And he created them perfect - that's why Adam and Eve were not ashamed of their nakedness. However, people also sin because they have free will.

My views:
I often ask myself why did God make humans? Honestly, I really do not know, after all who can discern what's on God's mind (1 Corinthians 1:25). I would probably find out the reason when He reveals it to me in due time. I know for a fact that God made Adam and Eve to be stewards of everything on earth (see a/m verse), unfortunately, we are currently not doing a marvelous job (e.g. pollution, wars, global warming, etc). I, too, know that God made me for a special purpose which is to share the Gospel.
