Questions Kids Ask About God

Question: How to witness to the people around me about Jesus?

Answer: There are many ways to witness to your family and friends. We can bring them to church so that they can hear the gospel. We can even tell them about how Jesus died for our sins by using tracts such as the "Have You Heard the Four Spiritual Laws?" from Campus Crusade for Christ. But the most effective way is to tell them how God has changed our life for the better. After all, we are living testimonies of God's grace and love.

Key Bible verses:
Psalm 66:16; Isaiah 63:7; Matthew 5:13-16; Mark 15:18-19; Acts 1:8; 2 Timothy 1:8; 1 Peter 3:15

My views:
I always consider witnessing difficult but it should not be the case. We don't need to be extremely articulate or have a theological degree to witness to our family and friends. Rather, we can witness to them through our daily lives. As a Christian, it is mandatory to do good so that the people around us can see God's glory. However, please understand that we do good not to earn our salvation but to witness to the world about God's grace and love. When we do good out of love for God, people will ask why we are doing this. And our reply: "I love because He first loves me." (John 13:34-35; 1 John 4:19)

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your grace and love. You have shown us the immeasurable extent of Your love by sending Your only begotten Son to die for us, sinners. We cannot thank You enough for this one perfect sacrifice. Father God, I pray that You will equip and empower me to witness to my family and friends. Use me as an instrument for doing good so that they may see Your glory and love. Father God, I love You and I want to share Your love with those who are lost and suffering. I want to thank You for the privilege of being called a child of light. I pray that I will fulfill Your calling to be the light and salt of the world. Please accept my prayer for the sake of Your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Last words...
"In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)
