Question: How should Christians live their lives?

Answer: Christians should live according to what God has commanded us in the Bible, especially to love God and our neighbours (Matthew 22:36-40). Christians should live a life of love because God loves us so much that He sent His Son to die for us (John 3:16; 1 John 4:19). Christians should also live a life of holiness because God has forgiven and cleansed us of our sins with the blood of Jesus.

My views:
Wow! It seems tough living a Christian life as the standard is very high. One may ask - how can we ever meet God's standard of Christian living? The answer is we can't. No one can live the perfect Christian life except Jesus. If we try to live a Christian life with our own strength and understanding, we fail miserably. However, if we live a Christian life on God's strength and wisdom, we can succeed. First, we need to ask God to guide and strengthen us through His Holy Spirit (Ephesians 3:16). Second, we need to feed on God's Word (Holy Bible) daily so that we can understand God's will and plan for us. We must embrace and apply what is written in the Bible in our daily lives because it is the only manual for Christian living (Proverbs 6:23). Therefore, when we have the Holy Spirit as our Teacher and Guide, and God's Word as the manual for our lives, we should be getting close to meeting God's standard. Do not despair or feel condemned if you think you cannot meet God's standard of Christian living. He is pleased with you if you have the will and desire to meet His standard. Prayer:
Holy Spirit, make me the child of God You want me to be. Strengthen me against the attacks of the evil one and the temptations of the world. Teach and guide me as I read Your Word daily. Give me a heart full of Your love and compassion so that I can love like Jesus. Cultivate in me the will, desire and passion to live a life of holiness, love, faith and obedience like Jesus did on earth. Amen.
