Patrick Labyorteaux was born on July 22, 1965. His acting career began at the age of three, with a role in a Hollywood play. Patrick soon appeared in other plays and commercials, and in 1976, he played the role of Peter in the feature film, Mame, starring Lucille Ball. Patrick's other notable appearances as a youngster included the role of young Rory in the television mini-series The Captains and the Kings, and Andy Garvey in Little House on the Prairie.

Later, he played Kevin Jones in 1987's Summer School, Ram in 1989's Heathers, and Ed Young in 1991's Ski School. Patrick has also made numerous guest appearances on television, including The Love Boat, Prince of Bel Air, Trapper John, M.D., 21 Jump Street, and Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.

In addition to his many movie and television roles, he is the voice of the WB Television Network. Occasionally, he uses an alternate spelling of his last name, Laborteaux.

His writing credits include 1994's Last Resort, in which he also had a part, the yet-to-be-released Hollywood Palms, and an episode of J.A.G., titled "JAG TV". Currently, he co-stars on J.A.G. as Lt. Bud Roberts. Bud first appeared in the pilot episode, but was not brought back until the second season, when the show jumped from NBC to CBS.


Patrick and his brother Matthew (Albert Ingalls on Little House on the Prairie) founded the Youth Rescue Fund, a charity that helps runaways.

Patrick married Tina Albanese, who was an Associate Producer on J.A.G. They are the proud parents of Jeau Bennett.
