The Islamic Institute of Sport is currently running a weekly swimming and water polo program at the Victoria University fitness and aquatic center.
The I.I.S. has booked the center on a weekly basis for two hours. Currently, the program is for brothers only and the institute is working on a program for sisters.
As is stands, the program includes:
General swimming
Water polo
Swimming lessons
(by qualified swim teacher)
At present, the water polo competition is still at a recreational level, however, the institute has put in place a talent identification program; here the I.I.S. is adopting methods to identify talent and put together its own water polo team to represent them in major sporting competitions.
Time: 8pm - 10pm
Day: Fridays
Venue: Victoria University Sports & Aquatic
Center
Cost: $5 per person (excl. children under 6)
