About Myself My name is Bal Risma. I was born Jan. 6, 1975 in Olongapo, Philippines. Some people know my full name but I only tend to share it if someone asks. My family moved to Vancouver, British Columbia on my 1st birthday. I grew up in a grand old city of Quesnel, British Columbia, Canada, from the age of 3. I am 24 years old and will be a graduate from The University College of the Cariboo, with a diploma in Computer Systems: Operations and Management (CSOM). Along the way I have acquired credits in all sorts of classes. Even though I have spent many years in school (lucky 7 when I'm done) I have taken many courses such as: SCIENCES
ARTS
There are probably a bunch of courses that I have missed but you get the picture. I've been there for the long haul. My main goal now is to get a job in Australia for the new millenium. Then off to Asia for 4 months of travelling in May-September. INTERESTS/HOBBIES This is starting to look like a resume... I love sports. People think that I am crazy because I can sit there and watch any kind of sports on TV. I especially love to watch hockey. Definitely the best sport! But I can even sit and watch a round of golf or a curling match. Of course, I can only watch them if they are major events with something big on the line. Outside of sports, I am trying to learn how to play the guitar but that pretty much has halted for the time being. My interests are continually growing with so many new things always catching my eye and sucking me in. The outdoors has always been fun. That's why I love BC so much because there is so much to see with mountains and wildlife and all of the nature around. Which brings me to my newest love, which I haven't yet been able to explore as much as I want to. Next year... The travel bug bit me when I went to visit my best friend in the world and my girlfriend at the time, Kari. I had gone to Korea to see her but I ended up getting all this culture instilled upon me. Ever since that day that I had left the country, I have always been looking forward to finding a new place to see. Now me and one of my other best friends - Darryl - will hit the road next summer to visit Southeast Asia. As much as I love B.C., I want to see more of the world. CAN'T WAIT!!!!! My aspirations are to receive different job contracts around various countries around the world using my ??expertise?? as my means of fuel. Is that wishful thinking on my part?? I sure hope not. These plans will come after I've seen many different cultures.
