Industry To Industry Recent entrant into this market, Industry To Industry was launched at the World Economic Forum's 1999 Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland. It is operated today by our President and CEO, Michael W.G. Fix. The service was established as an independent organization business to serve a global business community. The site creates a non-traditional market for businesses seeking to expose their products to new global markets across industries.

ITOI was founded in early 1998 as an initiative of the World Economic Forum and was established as an independent organization for global distribution of commercial and consumer goods and services. Their self-proclaimed mission is to provide the most advanced Internet-based business-to-business auction space. As members are exposed to new markets across industries, they can reach potential buyers that otherwise would not have been possible.

Members are encouraged to communicate with other members for products or information they are searching for. ITOI provides a number of different communication channels on their site to create an effective system to market products to thousands of potential buyers across the globe. Whether the communication comes in the form of a request or as a message posted in one of several industry specific discussion forums, the result is that suppliers can open their products and services up to a whole new audience, establish a business contact that could flourish into a long standing partnership.

The site is designed with all levels of web users in mind. However, the concern remains that in spite of all the features that are available ITOI still needs to develop a critical mass of users. They have made great efforts to provide a accessible site with intuitive easy to use interfaces. This will be a site to watch over the coming months.
