Trade Compass is a community builder for international trade, focused on content in providing news, information and sophisticated database products to help companies and individuals to perform research on trade, importing, exporting, sales, marketing, logistics in the global marketplace.
Trade Compass offers such E-commerce features as Caravan, an open client-network software integration platform and Supply Channel, an online B2B auction, which is currently under development.
In conjunction with GENTRAN:Smartforms for the Web software from Sterling Commerce, Caravan acts as a hub and broker for sharing information and transporting critical business documents to facilitate trading processes for all parties. It allows non-EDI capable companies with legacy systems to use the Internet for B2B exchange of electronic documents. In this way large companies can distribute EDI capabilities to smaller trading partners, creating central hubs where they can all exchange data.
