Since January 1997 Ccs-TECH, Ltd. Mostar is the authorized distributor of C-Solutions, Inc. ( Boulder , COLORADO / USA ) / C-TECH HandelsgmbH (Vienna / AUSTRIA ) products - CAD/CAM/CAE software components ( GMSWorks ) for the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
C-Solutions, Inc. was founded in Boulder, COLORADO / USA in July of 1996 and is fully owned by C-TECH, Vienna /AUSTRIA, a long term large GRAFTEK distributor for German speaking countries. C-Solutions took over software development responsibilities for the GMS product line along with acquiring the rights to support and market the former GRAFTEK products on a worldwide basis. The basis of that step was a strong belief in the strengths and potential of the products' technology and a large and widely spread customer base throughout the world. Both customers and distributors alike felt that GRAFTEK did not invest enough resources into software development and as a result the products did not receive the new and fancy features necessary to compete in today's strong CAD/CAM market.
C-Solutions, Inc. was formed with a mission to reinvest in the GMS software and bring it forward into the future as a state of the art design and manufacturing software solution. Beginning with a major maintenance effort on the current technology to provide a bridge to the future, resulting in the releases of GMS V3.6 and 3.7. Now with the stabilized product, all efforts are now focused on pushing GMS forward to incorporate new functionality to achieve our primary goal: to be competitive with the leading CAD suppliers of the day. The vision for the new product generations is to keep all the strengths of the product and enhance it wherever necessary with the best third party component technology available.C-Solutions' Geometric Modeling Software (GMSWorks) products are a complete, integrated CAD/CAM/CAE system for design, modeling, and analysis of mechanical components and assemblies. The GMSWorks associative 3-D models provide design continuity from concept through manufacturing, with design geometry defined only once for any sequence of applications. GMSWorks products are specifically optimized for the mold making industry featuring state of the art solutions for mold design, machining, and SIMUFLOW injection molding analysis. GMSWorks can also be customized to meet specific user needs and requirements with a high-level, compiled, Algorithmic Graphics Interface LanguagE called AGILE. The GMSWorks product line is available on NT workstations and industry leading high performance UNIX workstations manufactured by Sun Microsystems and Hewlett Packard.
GMSWorks Version 4.1 Released with new Designbase Modeling Kernel
BOULDER, CO: C-Solutions, Inc. designer and producer of GMSWorks software and Tools4CAM.com will release GMSWorks 4.1 on July 31, 2000. This computer aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) software package includes a full integration of the new DESIGNBASE surface innovation 2000 advanced modeling kernel, featuring superior free form surface and solid geometry modeling and unmatched design editing capabilities.
Major enhancements to complex surface and solid modeling allow for the design, modification, and manufacturing of today's most complicated parts. GMSWorks features an extensive, best of all worlds, combination of design editing capabilities.
Design modifications can be accomplished in a variety of ways including direct geometry manipulation, advanced history management, or simply changing a parametric dimension.
The updated graphical interface provides stunning 3-D visualizations of designs, taking full advantage of OpenGL to deliver higher quality images, faster rendering and a dynamic work environment. An additional feature will allow a surface model (imported via IGES for example) to be brought into the system and, through a process called body healing and stitching, will pull the surfaces back together to create a solid model. Many other complex modeling functions will be available as well. Of particular interest to mold and tool makers are thin wall shelling, surface shell thickening, robust helical thread modeling, multiple trajectory surface skinning and self intersection repair.
DESIGNBASE utilizes "Meta Modeling," a technique for automatically capturing design model history. Designs can be created quickly without pre-planning, datum plane construction, or setting up complex constraints. DESIGNBASE retains the design history of the 3D shape under construction by allowing for the capture, editing, and regeneration of parametric feature based construction steps. This combined with best of class Local Operations (direct geometry manipulation) and free-form shape modeling techniques make DESIGNBASE the premier modeling kernel for the tool and die industries.

C-Solutions, Inc. Teams Up with D-Cubed Ltd. Hidden Line Manager added to GMSWorks
BOULDER, CO: C-Solutions, Inc. designer and producer of GMSWorks software and Tools4CAM.com recently contracted to use D-Cubed Ltd's Hidden Line Manager in the 4.1 release of GMSWorks. The combination of GMSWorks and the Hidden Line Manager will provide a reliable, fast and accurate method of computing the hidden line view on any 3D solid model.
This technology allows a 3-D model to be utilized as the foundation for engineering drawing production and interactive model visualization during the design process. The algorithms in the Hidden Line Manager are designed to be robust when dealing with models containing a variety of interconnected parts that can include solid bodies as well as surface shells and wire geometry.
"The incorporation of the Hidden Line Manager within GMSWorks provides a key foundational piece for the performance and future growth of the GMSWorks products, we are very pleased with the excellent performance and capabilities of this product and our relationship with D-Cubed", said Scot Shaeffer, Vice President of Engineering at C-Solutions.
Hidden Line Manager, is a product of D-Cubed, Ltd., Cambridge, England. D-Cubed was founded in 1989 and is privately owned. They design products specifically for integration in CAD/CAM software packages and do not develop end-user applications.
C-Solutions will launch Tools4CAM.com, the first CAM focused "Try Before You Buy" web-site, at IMTS 2000
BOULDER, CO: On September 11, 2000, Tools4CAM.com will officially be launched during the International Machine Tool Show (IMTS) in Chicago. The web-site will be introduced to industry leaders and the press as a new way to deliver Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) related software products and services over the web, worldwide. C-Solutions Inc., the developer of Tools4CAM, has focused the web-site on one objective: putting the CAM professional in control of how they research, try, and buy software and services, provided in one convenient location. For certain products they will have the added flexibility to cost-effectively "rent" the use of software on actual real world projects as needed, making Tools4CAM the first application service provider (ASP) for CAM related software.
Tools4CAM will also be the first web-site to offer a free rapid prototype, created directly from CAD data, as a web-based service available to anyone worldwide as a first option for creating a mechanical part from CAD design data.
As software prices drop and the extra time needed to shop for services and products becomes a rare commodity, Tools4CAM will provide the means to quickly find "best of class" products that will improve a company's bottom-line. Most importantly, this try-before-you-buy web-site will minimize the risk associated with paying large up-front license fees for products that have not yet proven their worth on actual projects. For example, on Tools4CAM a mold shop could try a variety of software on actual projects for a per-use or per-project fee before they pay for an expensive software license and even actively market these capabilities knowing the products are accessible anytime on Tools4CAM.
"The try or rent-before-you-buy option, interactive and live on-line demos, tutorials, brochures and a 30 day trial use of the full software package will appeal to CAM professionals looking for a pressure free arena for software evaluation specifically focused on CAM," states Mark Kostovny, C-Solutions Vice President of Business Development. "It gives the customer a one-stop neutral location for researching, trying and buying CAM related software products, turnkey machining and prototyping services, and computer hardware specifically designed for their unique needs. Extensive research and surveys conducted by our marketing staff have shown that CAM users are ready for an internet based source for CAM products and services that will save them time and put them in control of how they research, try and buy these items."
Only products that excel in quality output, price/value ratio, ease of use, and on-line support will be included in the site giving Tools4CAM a one of a kind reputation as the spot for "best of class" CAM related tools and services. New products and services will be added over the coming year as they meet the criteria described above. On the vendor side, Tools4CAM will give small to medium sized CAM vendors a new cost-effective outlet for distribution which they could not fully achieve on their own web-site by putting them in front of a larger worldwide audience on a product neutral web-site.
