Two types of burners are available the Kosmos and the Matador.
The matador puts out about 25% more light, has a flame spreader, and requires
a matador chimney. It also requires more attention when using. The flame on the Matador burner increases as the lamp warms up. Pay close attention to flame adjustment until lamp is thoroughly heated.
 

The #15 Matador chimney must be used with the #15 Matador burner it may also
be used with the #14 Kosmos Burner.

Burners are sold complete with Wick.

Wicks are 2 1/2" by 7" (approximate)
 

Student type shade must be used with Matador chimney.
The acid etched ball must be used with Kosmos setup it will not
fit over the swell on a matador chimney.

Student shades require brass support tripod.

Etched Ball & Student shade fit the Kosmos chimney.

Wicks are consumed at approximately 1/8- 3/16 inch per gallon of fuel.
Wicks are consumed rapidly when lamp is out of fuel.

The easiest way to trim the wick evenly is to adjust it when it is dry so that it is exposed above
the burner sleeve and burn off the excess. Must be done before wick is saturated with fuel.
