LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Most of us spend our time learning how to be good followers, not good leaders. Good leaders are made, not born. Are you teaching your future leaders what they need to know? Are you preparing your subordinates to take your company into the future. Leadership is a skill that can be learned. Adventure Services offers  junior leadership courses that will prepare your people to take charge and get things done. At the basic level, a leader influences others in order to achieve set goals. Our programs use the explanation, demonstration, practical application model. There are three phases to our program. The first two phases are conducted by Adventure Services in classroom and outdoor environments. The third phase is conducted by you, the client. This is where you take your people and give them leadership tasks to accomplish and thereby acquire a workplace evaluation of their leadership skills and abilities. As a first step for the new leader, Adventure Services encourages you to assign a civic action project to the new leader. This provides many good results. The new leader accomplishes something worthwhile for the community, while your corporate standing in the community is enhanced.
