Written by Kelly Riley A friendship is a special thing Given from the Lord Something which cannot be bought Too priceless to afford Please don't take a friendship lightly Treat them like a brother For though it may not cross your mind You may not have another Yet isn't it ironic though The things we've said and done We're only there for each other When we can have some fun But I am here to tell you though That's not just how it works We need to help in time of need And stop acting like some jerks Because we can say I love you And turn our backs away But we need something more from this We need it here to stay A friend needs you there to listen In their great times of need Yet one thing that they will not do You will not see them plead Because friendship maybe priceless Yet it is also true And if you can't give of yourself There's nothing there for you And if you sit and listen To what they have to share Please don't go and tell the world Without the slightest care That's what can ruin friendships The kind held by us all So please don't let that go to waste Please listen my call Maybe this can help us see The path that we are on So we could all change our ways Before that treasures gone... |
