Each student is required to present
three critical papers, each about 750 words in length and using the MLA
format.

Critical Analysis of ONE of the short stories from the reading assignments
in this syllabus. Make use of any one of the literary approaches
discussed in Survey of Critical Theory. |

Explicate one of the poems from the reading assignments in the syllabus,
using a New Critical or Formalistic Approach. |
| Paper #3 |
Write an analysis of one of the following works using a critical approach
NOT used in assignments # 1 or #2. |
