Hera

Hera is Zeus wife and sister. She is the protector of marriage and takes special care of married women. Her symbol is scepter, diadem and peacock.

Myth

Once Zeus had a mistress named Princess Io. Zeus changed Io, a beautiful princess, into a cow to hide her from Hera. When Hera found Io she made Argus guard her. Zeus commanded Hermes to kill Argus. When Hermes killed Argus, he won the title of Argeiphontes (which means Killer of Argus). When Hera found Argus dead, she took his 100 eyes and put them on the tail of her peacock to decorate it.
