Buckteeth So

Character description: Ah So was born in England (that's what he says in the TV series). He grows up with English and cannot speak or read Chinese very well at the beginning. Unlike the rest of his colleagues, Buckteeth is a Western medical student who is more interested in Chinese Herbal Medicine. That is why he becomes Fei Hung's student.

Although Buckteeth was not born in China, he develops great friendship with all the rest of his colleagues. Fei Hung trusts and teaches him Chinese medicine. His friends love and protect him as a younger brother when they have danger. But he himself is a determined man. In the OUATIC TV series: The Ideal Century, only Ah So believes Aunt Thirteen when the rest, including his master and old master, think she is jealous of the bad woman.

Ah So is brave and loyal. Although he does not know Kung Fu, he still tries to protect Aunt Thirteen against the Shaho gang. When Po Chi Lam has problem, he has chance to leave but he decides to stay and help.

Jacky Cheung as Buckteeth So(part I - movie): Jacky is so cute in this role. He looks very young and somewhat innocent. He is humorous as well. Unfortunately there is not much room for Buckteeth in the first movie and we cannot see Jacky Cheung in subsequent parts.

Chan Kwok Bang as Buckteeth (the rest of the movies and TV series): Chan Kwok Bang is good as Ah So. I prefer his Buckteeth in the TV series because he looks more innocent and has more characteristics. As I say before, Buckteeth in the TV series is better. He can use medicine and do surgery himself (The Old Temple). Buckteeth in part V of the movies looks a bit too scary. He acts as a cowboy who masters in gun fight but somewhat looks like a gangster too.
