Mask of the Red Death

According to D2K, Alex Proyas is still interested in making "Masque of the Red Death". Based on the Edgar Allen Poe novel. Proyas is the Australian director best known for his German Expressionist influenced Horror Films "The Crow" and "Dark City". This was originally announced back in MAy 99. So I guess the fact the rumor is still around kinda confirms it. (D2K) (HFA NEWS)

Aussie director Alex Proyas (Dark City, The Crow) will be making a film based on Edgar Poes "The Mask of the Red Death.". This will be the fourth version of the film.. The last time that there was going to be a forth version of this film, the director Akira Kurasowa, unfortunately passed away.. (Dr. Casey)
