The English language has many words that are not
interchangeable and many that are spelled
alike or sound alike but have completely different meanings.
Most grammars and some dictionaries include a complete list
of such words.

Examples of words that are
similar in meaning, but not interchangeable:

farthest part from the middle; line where something
begins or ends; part nearest the border; an

the blank area around text on a page; the difference

When writing step-by-step

substance together or even in the same paragraph.
