Fenix, yet another orphan of war, was trained from his early teens to be initiated into the OZ Specials Force. Although he fully supported OZ at first, feeling that they were only to protect the colonies, when he learned of Treize's plans for world domination, he went AWOL, taking the bluebrints for his own Gundam, the Dark Pheonix.

Though he is quiet and polite, even friendly and mild, Fenix is a ruthless warrior and believes that OZ is the embodiment of all hatred and evil that this race is capable of.
