Hilde is a former Oz pilot who met up with Duo Maxwell one day and caught him trying to infiltrate an Oz base. Unable to bring herself to kill him afterwards, she left Oz and the two started to make a life for themselves in a colony. That was quickly ruined by Oz and the Wing Zero. Eventually Duo accepted his fate with the other pilots and left Hilde on the colony to remain in the tiny niche they carved out together.
