Jareth's parents were killed in an early OZ/Rebel Alliance battle on Earth during his early childhood. His sister, as yet unnamed, disappeared and is presumed dead as well. Jareth was taken in by a Romafeller officer and began his pilot training, but he ran away very early on, only to meet a Mobile Suit scientist named Lianna Kindaas. A Romafeller noble, Kindaas hated the violence and domination that Romafeller stood for. She left the organization and raised Jareth as a son.

In the year AC 193, the first incarnation of the Shadow Reaper was completed. Jareth was sent out on his mission to create the Bloody Scythe and protect the colonies. He swore to make his "mother" proud.

While on the colonies, he met Alexander LeCroux for the first time and chanced to fall in love with his sister, Liandra. Within two years, the Bloody Scythe was formed and Jareth first engaged Treize Khushrenada, a man Jareth knew and hated from his youth in Romafeller, in mortal combat. Since then, the two have met many times and will certainly do so again.
