This
is a 1.4 mile circuit to the summit hike of Loft Mountain through an
old meadow. Fern rock gardens and great views but a steep climb is in
store for you on this hike. You need to park at Loft Mountain Wayside
and cross the Drive at the crosswalk. Go 100 yards to the fork in the
trail and keep to the right. Near the summit, the trail will join the
A.T. Continue on the A.T. for 0.1 mile, turn left back to the
Deadening trail. This will bring you back to the fork in the trail.
Take a left and proceed back to your starting point.

This
1 mile round trip hike is to a spectacular view. You will park at
the Blackrock Summit parking area and cross the yellow chain gate.
Walk up the hill on the dirt road. At the concrete signpost on the
left-hand curve, step over onto the A.T. and continue uphill to a
magnificent rock slope and panoramic view. You will need to retrace your steps to complete
this 1 hour hike.

is a 2.2 mile round trip with a rocky climb to an outstanding view.
You need to park on the east side of the Drive. Walk across the Drive
to the A.T. crossing. Take the A.T. south 0.2 mile. Turn right onto
Turk Mountain trail. The viewpoint is 0.9 mile up the trail. You
will need to retrace your steps to complete
this 2 hour hike.

side of the Drive. Take the lower dirt road on the left for 0.2 mile.
When you reach the A.T. turn right. At the next dirt road, turn right
to return to the parking area

the Drive at Beagle Gap. Take the A.T. north to the first high point
on the trail. Leave the trail and climb to the summit on the left for
