'DRUG TAKING' at station

COUNCILLORS have called for a clean up of Carnforth station after finding evidence of drinking and drug taking.

Coun Sheila McNulty told councillors of the worrying state of the station at July's Carnforth Town Council Meeting.

She said youths were walking from the station and were then vomiting near her house.

She said: "There's hoards of rubbish like bottles of beer and it is a nuisance.

"They're coming down the back of my house and being sick. "I thought 'should I ring the police?' But then I thought no, I might get a brick through my window."

Coun Brian Ward said he recently found three syringes at the station after getting off a train.
