ALRI Building
The ALRI (Airborne Long Range Input) facility was located in close
proximity to the bluffs overlooking
the Atlantic Ocean. This facility served as the shore station for special
radar equipped Lockheed Super Constellation early warning aircraft flying patrols
many miles offshore. Radar data acquired by the aircraft
was transmitted to the Montauk ALRI facility.
