Radar Towers
Abandoned radar towers dot the landscape of the former Montauk Air Force Station. The
old concrete tower base is silhouetted against the brightly colored tower which once
supported the AN/FPS-26 height finder radar. The "26" tower now serves as a useful
daymark for local fisherman and recreational boaters.
